So i still somewhat prefer the graphics of "Fable - The Lost Chapters" over "Fable - Anniversary".īut, i still totally recommend this version, especially for people who haven't played the original, since this version still has a lot of QoL changes that help the game to make the jump into a more modern era. The fact that they also didn't remake the facial animations also don't help, wich bugs me out quite a bit. I also didn't really mention "character models" as an improvement because well, they look a lot like plastic figures rather than the cartoonish and otherworldly characters of "The Lost Chapters". but still this gives the game quite a different feeling.
They changed the color tone of the shading quite a bit, wich sounds a bit nitpicky, i know.
So far this sounds good right? Well, yes and no. textures (for clothing, buildings etc.), lighting, effects, world assets and so on.

It's old, i mean Fable - The lost chapters (the original version) came out in September 2005, nearly 18 years ago, but they still brought out the best of Fable - The lost chapters in this remastered version. the story is simple but solid (it even has different endings depending on your choices!). You are searching for a simple, but fledged out RPG with gameplay worth of like 20-30h? A game that doesn't take itself to serious and has a cool karma system? A game that has a cool character appearence change based on your stat distribution and the path you chose? I could go on and on.
